Not a class. Not a sport. Not a screen. Creative Innovators Project is a nonprofit youth club in Vistancia where kindergarten through high school students build, invent, perform, and problem-solve together — every week, all season long.

What makes CIP different from other activities for kids in Peoria
Plenty of Peoria activities let kids build a robot, learn to code, paint a picture, or complete one STEAM project. Those are all valuable. CIP does something different: it brings all of those areas together on one consistent team, and hands the problem to the kids.
Coaches don't provide answers or complete the work. They ask questions, keep the workspace safe, and get out of the way. Students brainstorm, research, build, test, argue, compromise, rebuild, and present. By the end of a season, a shy fourth-grader has performed in front of judges; a middle-schooler has engineered a vehicle out of scrap; a high-schooler has managed a budget and led a team.
Who it's for
Our four divisions cover kindergarten through 12th grade. The Primary team (K–2) has no scoring at all — it's about process, play, and confidence. Divisions 1–3 compete in Odyssey of the Mind, an international creative problem-solving competition, at Regional, State, and (for teams that qualify) World Finals. Kids who love engineering, art, storytelling, building, performing, or organizing all find a role.
Where and when
We meet weekly at The Village at Vistancia Clubhouse in North Peoria (29701 N Sunrise Point, Peoria, AZ 85383). The season runs August through May. Families come from Vistancia, Lake Pleasant, Sonoran Mountain Ranch, Surprise, Glendale, and across the Northwest Valley.
Cost
Membership is $500 per student for the full season, or five monthly payments of $100 — with family pricing for siblings, a $350 rate for Primary, scholarships, and Arizona ESA (ClassWallet) accepted. Families can also earn discounts by coaching or volunteering at the Regional tournament.
Hands-on, every week
Real materials — cardboard, lumber, PVC, motors, fabric, paint — and real tools, used safely under coach supervision.
One team, one season
Instead of a one-off camp, kids join a consistent team from August to May and build relationships alongside skills.
Confidence you can see
Performing, presenting, and defending their own ideas in front of judges changes how kids see themselves.

Parents ask
What ages can participate?
Kindergarten through 12th grade. Students are placed by grade into Primary (K–2), Division 1 (3–5), Division 2 (6–8), or Division 3 (high school).
Is this a good fit for a kid who isn't 'into STEM'?
Yes. Odyssey of the Mind problems combine engineering with theater, art, writing, music, and design. Every team needs builders, writers, performers, artists, and organizers.
How is this different from an after-school class or camp?
It's a season-long team, not a drop-in class. Kids work on the same open-ended challenge for months, which is where resilience, leadership, and real problem-solving are built.
